Happy New Year from Dollywood!
Really awesome day at Dollywood. Finally got to ride the Lightning Rod... twice. And finally... after 38 years... of going to the park and refusing to ever go on any roller coaster that goes upside down... I went on the Wild Eagle. It was amazing! What a smooth coaster! I did it twice and loved it. I can't believe I was such a chicken that I missed out on years of riding this awesome ride! There were really short lines today - 0, 5 and 10 minutes. The longest we waited for anything was 11 minutes. There were a few glitches here and there, but overall a great day. We were finished with every ride in the park that we wanted to do by 3:00 PM, so we had a late lunch/early dinner outside of the park and came home completely exhausted but thoroughly happy.
